Indian Railways Goes the Extra Mile to Assist NRI Passenger

Mumbai, 31 August 2026: In a prompt and considerate response, Central Railway staff assisted an NRI passenger who could not alight from Train No. 22226 Vande Bharat Express at Pune.
The passenger, Ms. Manijes Pavri, an NRI from Canada, was unable to deboard at Pune. On receiving the information, railway staff made arrangements to ensure that she could safely alight at Karjat station.Train No. 22226 Vande Bharat Express was stopped at Karjat (KJT), Platform No. 2, where it arrived at 10:20 hrs and departed at 10:23 hrs after the passenger was assisted in deboarding safely and properly.The passenger subsequently helped by Railways to board and return upto Pune by Train No. 11301.The incident reflects the commitment of Indian Railways towards passenger safety, assistance and service, ensuring that passengers receive timely support whenever required.
