A dispute over a ₹3 lakh debt allegedly escalated into a serious hostage and assault case in Chitnavis Nagar, Nagpur. A 22-year-old man was allegedly abducted and kept captive inside a house for nearly two hours, where he was reportedly assaulted and threatened with a knife.

According to the information available, the dispute was connected to ₹3 lakh that the victim had reportedly borrowed in relation to a four-wheeler. The situation allegedly turned violent when three individuals, including a father and his two sons, confronted the young man and allegedly held him against his will.

The victim was reportedly threatened at knifepoint and allegedly forced to record a video during the incident. Concerned family members, after becoming aware of the situation, alerted the police, following which the young man was rescued.

The incident has raised concerns over how a financial dispute reportedly escalated into physical violence and unlawful confinement. Police have registered a case in connection with the incident and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction, assault, threats and the financial dispute.
