₹4.5 Lakh Gold Necklace Theft Solved, Accused Arrested by Crime Branch
In a swift breakthrough, the Crime Branch successfully solved a gold necklace theft case and arrested a 29-year-old accused from Chandrapur district. The incident involved the theft of a 22-carat gold necklace worth approximately ₹4.5 lakh, which was stolen from a parked car after the accused allegedly broke the rear door window and fled with the bag containing the jewellery.
According to police officials, the stolen necklace had recently been purchased from a jewellery store in Manewada. Using technical surveillance and investigative inputs, the Crime Branch tracked down the accused and recovered the stolen gold necklace along with a mobile phone and a two-wheeler used in the crime.
The accused has been remanded to police custody, and further investigation is currently underway. Police have also advised citizens not to leave valuable items unattended inside parked vehicles, even for a short period, to avoid becoming victims of theft.
The successful recovery highlights the prompt action and effective investigative efforts of the Crime Branch in ensuring public safety and bringing offenders to justice.
