In a strong display of unity and commitment to global harmony, employees of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) organised a one-kilometre-long human chain in Nagpur on Wednesday to promote the message of “Peace, Not War.”
The human chain extended from the LIC Divisional Headquarters opposite Kasturchand Park to the Oriental Building. Employees from across the division participated enthusiastically, carrying placards and banners with messages supporting peace, dialogue, and unity.
The initiative was organised by the Nagpur Divisional LIC Employees’ Union to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the All India Insurance Employees’ Association (AIIEA). Through this event, participants highlighted the importance of mutual understanding, international cooperation, and peaceful solutions to global conflicts.
The employees emphasised that wars and conflicts cause immense human suffering and economic losses. They appealed for collective efforts to build a world based on harmony, humanitarian values, and sustainable development.
The event reflected the shared commitment of LIC employees towards spreading awareness about peace and encouraging society to stand together for global harmony.
