Nagpur is emerging as an important destination for India’s renewable-energy and solar manufacturing sector, with Avaada planning a major expansion at its facility in the Additional Butibori area.

The project is expected to strengthen solar manufacturing capabilities while creating new employment opportunities and supporting the growth of the clean-energy ecosystem in the region. According to remarks highlighted in the post, more than 5,000 workers are currently engaged with the project, while an additional 250 acres has been announced for the planned expansion.

The facility is also expected to see its production capacity expand to around 7 GW, further adding to Nagpur’s role in the renewable-energy manufacturing landscape.

With large-scale solar infrastructure, industrial expansion and new employment opportunities, the development could contribute to the region’s broader clean-energy and industrial growth.
