Nagpur Metro has achieved a significant construction milestone on the Bhandara Road stretch, with 100 segmental viaduct spans successfully completed. The development marks another important step in strengthening Nagpur’s elevated Metro network and improving public transportation infrastructure across the city.

The completed viaduct spans form part of the 5.33-km elevated Metro corridor connecting Prajapati Nagar to Transport Nagar, under Nagpur Metro Phase-II, Reach-4A. The corridor is planned to improve connectivity along the busy Bhandara Road stretch and provide a more efficient public transport option for residents and daily commuters.

The project is being supported by three launching gantries, which are being deployed to accelerate the construction process. The corridor will also serve three elevated Metro stations — Pardi, Kapsi Khurd and Transport Nagar, further improving accessibility to important residential, commercial and transportation areas.

The completion of 100 viaduct spans reflects steady progress in Nagpur’s Metro expansion and highlights the city’s ongoing focus on modern infrastructure and urban mobility. Once operational, the corridor is expected to contribute towards smoother connectivity, reduced dependence on road traffic and better transportation options for commuters.

With construction progressing steadily, Nagpur’s Phase-II Metro network is taking shape as an important part of the city’s future transportation infrastructure.
