NIT Demolishes 52 Illegal Encroachments on Wanjri Land in Yashodhara Nagar

The Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) carried out a major anti-encroachment drive at Mouza Wanjri in the Yashodhara Nagar area, removing 52 illegal commercial structures built on NIT-owned land.
The action covered nearly 9 acres of encroached public land and was conducted under the supervision of senior NIT officials, with support from the enforcement team, engineering staff and police personnel. Most of the demolished structures were temporary commercial sheds.
Officials stated that the drive is part of NIT’s continued efforts to protect public land and remove illegal constructions. Similar action was earlier taken in the Yashodhara Nagar area, and more such drives may be carried out against remaining encroachments in the coming days.
