Nagpur city is set to witness a major joint crackdown by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and Nagpur Police to make roads, footpaths, and public spaces free from encroachments. The anti-encroachment drive will be carried out across all 10 municipal zones of the city.

Under the campaign, authorities have set a target of covering around 100 km of roads and major stretches every day. Illegal street markets, encroachments blocking footpaths, unauthorized roadside commercial activities, and repeat offenders will be under special scrutiny.

The administration aims to keep footpaths safe and accessible for pedestrians while improving traffic movement across the city. Strict legal action may also be taken against those who repeatedly violate the rules.

This joint initiative by the NMC and Nagpur Police is being seen as an important step towards ensuring better traffic flow, clear footpaths, and more organized public spaces across Nagpur.
