The Nagpur Division of South East Central Railway conducted a detailed Senior Administrative Grade level safety inspection on the Gondia–Itwari rail section to review railway safety, operational preparedness and emergency response systems.
During the inspection, senior railway officials examined important safety aspects including railway tracks, bridges, curves, level crossings, signalling systems, telecom arrangements, stations and yards. The inspection aimed to identify possible gaps and ensure smoother and safer train movement on the route.
Officials also reviewed the availability of emergency resources, relief arrangements and response systems. Such inspections help railway authorities detect shortcomings in advance and take timely corrective action to prevent operational failures.
The safety review is considered important for improving passenger safety, strengthening railway infrastructure and ensuring efficient train operations across the Nagpur Division.
South East Central Railway has stated that regular inspections and safety preparedness checks will continue to remain a priority for maintaining safe, reliable and efficient railway services.
